MEN’S RETREAT

 

WED 22MAR23 TRAVEL DAY

Arrival & Check In

Equipment Shakedown & Intro to AR-15 (MAJ Hastings) – depending on arrival times,  I plan to teach a class on assembly/disassembly/Functions Check of AR-15 along with Basic Rifle Marksmanship refresher – a review of fundamentals & Safety.  Also shakedown and see what equipment needs to be rented or purchased from proshop)

Dinner @ The Lodge

 

THUR 23MAR23 DAY 01

7AM Breakfast @ The Lodge

8AM Gear Up @ Pro Shop – opportunity to purchase, rent, and set up battle belts and plate carriers if needed. 

9AM Range – Pistol: Detailed fundamentals to include Safety, work space, sight alignment, stance, grip, high ready presentations, slack out method, trigger press, and recoil management.   Paper Target Range

12PM Lunch @ Club House

1PM Range – Pistol: Review fundamentals + Combat/Tactical Reloads & dry fire draws. Advance from paper to steel target ranges based on demonstration of fundamentals and progression of ability. 

6:30PM Dinner @ The Lodge

 

FR 24MAR23 DAY 03

7AM Breakfast @ The Lodge

9AM Range – Pistol: Review and demonstrate fundamentals, Combat/Tactical Reloads & dry fire draws. Advance from paper to steel target ranges

12PM Lunch @ Club House

1PM Range – Rifle: Detailed fundamentals to include SAFETY, sling adjustment, grips, sight-in, rifle set-up, presentations (low ready and high ready), combat reloads, tactical reloads, recoil control/management. Paper/Steel Target Ranges.

6:30PM Dinner @ The Lodge

 

SAT 25MAR23 DAY 04

7AM Breakfast @ The Lodge

9AM Range – Rifle/Pistol: Weapons handling to gain fluid transitions between rifle to pistol and pistol to rifle with combat/tactical reloads.  Transitions, check drills and malfunctions will be introduced for both pistol and rifle manipulation. Seven drills of "Operator Standards" will be linked together, with each drill having a required hit under an allotted time limit. All shooters will be tested on the seven "Operator Standard" drill. 

12PM Lunch @ Club House

1PM Range – Rifle/Pistol: Students will transition to steel target shooting on multiple pistol/rifle ranges. 

6:30PM Dinner @ The Lodge
