The Shaw Shooting curriculum teaches our students how to simply shoot faster, to be more accurate, and to utilize the manipulation of their weapons in the most efficient manner possible.

4/27/26 ADVANCED PISTOL FUNDAMENTALS - DAY 1

COURSE FEE: $322 - TO BE INVOICED, NO PAYMENT COLLECTED TO ENROLL

ROUND COUNT:

650 rounds pistol; 50 rounds .223 GT/ball

Instruction for this course will mainly be on our paper ranges, where shooters utilize our custom-made paper targets to refine the ability to shoot accurately with an emphasis on speed. Instructors provide live-fire demonstrations and then break down each element of the shooting dynamic in order to provide skill proficiency.

4/28/26 PNEUMATIC STEEL PISTOL RANGES - DAY 2

COURSE FEE: $322 - TO BE INVOICED, NO PAYMENT COLLECTED TO ENROLL

ROUND COUNT: 700 rounds pistol

*PRE-REQUISITE DAY 1 ADVANCED PISTOL

On the second day the class will mainly train on our pistol steel ranges, ingraining the instruction from the previous day. Pistol draws and reloads will be thoroughly explained along with faster shooting techniques supported by live demonstrations.

4/29/26 ADVANCED RIFLE FUNDAMENTALS - DAY 3

COURSE FEE: $322 - TO BE INVOICED, NO PAYMENT COLLECTED TO ENROLL

ROUND COUNT:

  • 150 rounds pistol

  • 400 rounds .223 GT/ball

Instruction for this course will mainly be on our paper ranges, where shooters utilize our custom-made paper targets to refine the ability to shoot accurately with an emphasis on speed. Instructors provide live-fire demonstrations and then break down each element of the shooting dynamic in order to provide skill proficiency.

Shaw Shooting has 4 tiers of paper standards that combine the use of pistol and mainly rifle to test a shooter’s skill in accuracy, speed and weapons manipulation. Each tier has 9 drills and the shooter must pass 7 of the 9 drills to gain access to the next tier level. Based on the performance tested at the beginning of the course, shooters will start at the appropriate tier level and progress through each drill until a higher tier level is achieved.

  • Sling Placement, Touch Points

  • Low/High-Ready Presentation

  • Tactical Reloads

  • Transitions

  • Bolt lock reloads

  • Check drills

  • Rifle malfunctions

  • Malfunction check drill

  • Recoil Management
